TRADITIONAL SNOW TRAIL

In the Showa era, mountain ski tours were actively held and popular with many skiers in the Nagano and Gunma prefectures.
The ski tour fell out of favour after the showa era.

As we enter the age of the Reiwa pass, we are reviving the historic adventure tour access the winter mountain that was forgotten in those changing times here.

SYNOPSIS OF TOUR
This trail is a classic tour route with a total length of about 30 km from Yamada Onsen , where Fukeikan is situated , to Shichimi Onsen through Shiga Kogen and Manza Onsen.

STAY AT YAMADA SPRING

It is said that the opening of the hot spring is the Muromachi period and you can still enjoy the hot spring baths today.

The hot spring is known for its healing properties caused by sodium chloride.

You can book extra night before or after the ski tour at Fukeikan

2ND day

Enjoy cat skiing. (February is)

Cat skiing at Yamaboku 2nd Stage
The altitude difference is about 400m. (rans is 3times). If you ski down to Yamada Onsen, the altitude difference is 1,000m (1 run).

A total of 4 to 6 runs will be used as a guideline.

Enjoy cat skiing. (March is)

About 1 hour hike from Yamaboku base to Mt. Kasagatake and Mt. Kamiike.
Ski from the summit at an altitude of 2000 meters to the ski Yamaboku base at an altitude of 1500 meters.

The ski area is predominantly between the altitude of 1,500m to 1,800m.

You can enjoy high-quality powder snow.

Enjoy the magnificent natural scenery registered by UNESCO.

Mt YOKOTE is the second high peak of Shiga Kogen.
When the weather is nice, you can see Mt. Fuji, the Northern Alps, and Sado Island far away.

It spans Gunma and Nagano Prefectures.

There is a national highway that passes through the highest point in Japan.

Manza Onsen is an alpine hot spring with 1,800 meters above sea level.

The source is a sulfur spring.
The discharge of water from the spring reaches 5.4 million liters a day.

The cloudy water heals the mind and body after skiing.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL

The tour offers stable turns at a constant speed on the middle slope and is known for powder snow. It is suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers.

You can get up on your own if you fall over with fresh powder snow.
